Abbos's new book the Art of Doira is now available for sale! The first of its kind, this book is written for percussionists of all experience levels, with a particular emphasis on intermediate to advanced percussionists who wish to advance their theoretical and practical knowledge of the Doira. The book outlines some of Abbos' most favorite rhythm patterns, finger technique, syllable methods and concepts.

Abbos Kosimov with artistic partner Tara Pandeya founded the organization East West Centerpoint (501) (c) 3 tax-exempt non-profit, fiscally sponsored by Dancer's Group.

This unique organization promotes the arts and cultures of Central Asia (presenting traditional arts and artists from the regions of: Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and East Turkestan). The organization strives to build dialogue, interest, tolerance and cross-cultural understanding between the Eastern and Western cultures through the preservation and development of Central Asian traditional arts.
